3‑Minute Architectural Diagnostic

A structural mirror for your enterprise. Not a quiz; an architectural indictment.

Heretical Edition
Your problem is not your people.
It’s your architecture.

Organizations don’t fail because people lack motivation. They fail because the architecture carries contradictions that result in unclear decision routes, incoherent priorities, weaponised ambiguity, fragmented authority, and incentives that reward compliance over contribution. This diagnostic surfaces those contradictions, the ones your leadership systems and people are already compensating for.
Caution: This is a brief, rough and ready, diagnostic to familiarize you with the framework
and should not be taken as a replacement for a thorough on-site diagnostic.

Instruction: Click each signal that is true in your enterprise. Every active signal counts as a YES.

Score
0
0–3 YES: Early architectural drift. Friction, not failure. The architecture still broadly holds, but strategy moves faster than structure by default, so the gap opens without anyone deciding it should. This is the cheapest point at which to close it.
4–5 YES: Not drift, and not yet failure. Your architecture is starting to contradict itself, and your best people are absorbing the difference. That holds until they stop.
6+ YES: Your architecture is carrying contradictions even your best people can no longer absorb without burnout. No amount of leadership development, culture campaigns, or motivational theatre will fix this. Only redesign will.
