About the TWC Consulting Group
The TWC Consulting Group is a management consultancy for organisations that have outgrown clichés.
We work on the system itself, the environment produced by an organisation's culture, competence, and remuneration architectures, the load-bearing artefacts that decide whether it becomes exceptional or merely average.
Our stance is simple and non-negotiable: performance is a consequence, and behaviour is a survival strategy people adopt inside a system. If you want different performance or different behaviour, you don't need better people, or better rules and incentives. You need to redesign the system.
We work with ambitious organisations worldwide to challenge inherited assumptions and rethink how organisations, and the people inside them, actually work. Our bias is structural, not motivational; our work is architectural, not theatrical.
We make the case for bold thinking, unconventional method, and structural honesty. We have no use for the easy comfort of trends, fashionable consensus, or recycled methodology dressed up as "best practice." And we back original insight, systemic competence, and capability that genuinely changes what an organisation can do.
What we exist to do is plainly stated: take businesses that already thrive and make them genuinely exceptional.
Our Philosophy
Architecture before behaviour
Behaviour doesn't drive a culture; it's produced by one. People adapt to the architecture they're handed, and to the culture beneath it. Misalign the system and the behaviour misaligns with it.Systems before stories
Narratives follow structure. When the operating model contradicts the story, the story loses every time. So we start with Direction, Hallmarks, and Shared Values — the three artefacts that actually constitute a culture.Constraints before character
When people look resistant, avoidant, political, or passive, we assume the architecture is producing it. More often than not, the resistance is rational.Design before exhortation
We redesign spans and layers, decision rights, incentives, consequence pathways, and capability systems, the forces that quietly determine which behaviours pay off. This is how theory becomes practice: culture, leadership, and performance stop being aspirations and start being what the architecture reliably produces.
How We Show Up
Direct:
We name structural failures without moralising individuals. People aren't the problem; the architecture is.
Evidence‑driven:
We connect patterns of behaviour to specific design choices. Show us the behaviour, and we'll show you the architecture that produced it.
Pragmatic:
We turn architecture into roles, routines, and decisions real managers can actually run: no abstractions, no slogans, no theatre.
Psychodynamically informed:
We understand how people adapt to power, risk, ambiguity, and consequence, and we design systems that lower defensiveness and raise coherence.
What Makes the TWC Consulting Group Unique?
Most firms treat culture, management, performance, and remuneration as separate disciplines. We treat them as one architecture, because that's what they are. Culture is the constraint-logic. Management distributes it. Performance is what the system puts out. Remuneration is where it tells the truth. Bring those into alignment and an organisation becomes coherent, adaptive, and genuinely capable; leave them contradicting one another and it drifts into theatre, politics, and burnout. We are exceptionally good at helping organisations build the architecture that prevents that drift.
What We Do
Our work spans five connected services:
Corporate Renewal: Rebuilding the architecture when strategy outgrows the system.
Culture Transformation: Redesigning the constraint-logic the whole system rests on.
Management Excellence: Turning managerial capability into a genuine differentiator.
Performance Management: Building systems where good performance is the natural result.
Remuneration Strategy: Aligning pay with capability, contribution, and consequence.
We work inside the organisation alongside our clients, not as cheerleaders, but as architects of coherence.
Where We Work
From our offices in Zurich, Sydney, Seattle, and Belfast, we support organisations across continents, sectors, and scales of complexity. Our work is global because the problems we solve are universal: misaligned architecture, incoherent systems, and cultures that perform theatre instead of producing value.
We help create outcomes that are not just successful and sustainable, but legendary.
